Humphrey Southall attended the 36th Annual meeting of the Social Science History Association, “Generation to Generation”, this year held in Boston, Massachusetts on 17th-20th November.
He participated in various sessions including organizing the two Geographical Frameworks for World History sessions, acting as a discussant for the book session on ‘The Spatial Humanitites: GIS and the future of Humantities Scholarship’ by David Bodenhamer, John Corrigan & Trevor Harris, leading a group visit to the Harvard map library and presenting a paper “Building a multi-national historical GIS: experience from the QVIZ project“.
